This
is our new addition. We are adopting her from:
L.A.B Rescue and Adoption Network of TX and CT.
Jeri
(also known as AWWWW, the FACE!) is living with us now! She loves to chew
feet, toys, soda cans, bones and today found
aluminum foil. (Sigh.) She’s a good girl for the most part. Mommy is a meanie and takes away all her fun stuff, like those soda
cans and aluminum foil, the litterbox and daddy’s
shoes. Talk about dog breath, jeez…

Bruce
|
|
This is Bruce. We haven’t come up with a cleverer name yet, but the
sad fact is that black dogs, especially the larger breeds aren’t as likely
to be adopted. And worse, statistically, are more likely to be put down. We
suppose we can blame modern cinematography for part of that nonsense, but this
4 month old baby doesn’t deserve the rep. (Though he reminds me of some of
my druggie friends in the 80’s.)
We’ll have a meet and greet with Bruce (name is open for suggestions)
when the weather breaks, likely Thursday. Ongoing debate at our house is to
name him Tom, so we have Tom and Jeri. I say, “NO! Tom was a cat!”

Sierra
|
|
Sierra is Jeri’s mom. She was an abused and neglected sweet little
girl whose owner decided she was too much trouble when she got pregnant by
the sneaky neighbor dog. She just wants a warm spot to curl up on and
relax.
A slight change in plans means that we won’t be fostering/adopting
Sierra. It seems that she’s VERY popular, which is AWESOME! She has
adopters lined up! You go girl!
